01 · Agreement
Using VeloCare
These Terms of Use govern your use of the VeloCare native iPhone and iPad application and related VeloCare services. By creating an account, accessing the app, or purchasing VeloCare Pro, you agree to these terms and the VeloCare Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use VeloCare. You must meet the minimum age required for the countries where the app is distributed.
02 · The service
What VeloCare provides
VeloCare helps riders manage bicycles, record rides, request AI-assisted visual-condition reports, maintain care tasks, and manage VeloCare Pro. Features may change as the app is maintained.
VeloCare provides information and organization tools. It is not a bicycle repair service, mechanical inspection, safety certification, medical service, or substitute for bicycle and component manuals or a qualified bicycle mechanic.
03 · AI-assisted reports
Photo-based guidance has limits
When you request a report and grant the in-app AI-sharing permission, selected bicycle photos and limited bicycle details are processed through OpenRouter and an OpenAI model. The Privacy Policy’s AI section explains the data flow, consent, provider processing, and retention layers.
An AI report is a limited visual-condition observation. It cannot reliably assess hidden or internal condition, torque, pressure, bearing condition, cable tension, or damage that is not visible in the photographs. It does not confirm that a bicycle is safe or roadworthy. You remain responsible for deciding whether to ride, inspect, repair, or consult a qualified mechanic.
04 · VeloCare Pro
Purchases and subscriptions
VeloCare Pro purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store. RevenueCat may help VeloCare verify entitlements, restore purchases, and synchronize subscription status. VeloCare does not receive or store your payment-card number.
Subscriptions renew and are canceled according to the terms shown by Apple at purchase. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple account and the App Store subscription settings. Deleting your VeloCare account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
05 · User content
Your bicycle data and permissions
You retain responsibility for the bicycle information, photos, ride information, notes, and other content you enter or create in VeloCare. You authorize VeloCare to store and process that content to provide the requested features, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Only grant camera, photo-library, location, and notification permissions when you want the related feature. Location collection begins only when you start an active ride and permit location access.
06 · Accounts
Account security and deletion
You are responsible for protecting access to your Apple or Google account and for activity that occurs through your VeloCare account. Do not share session credentials or attempt to access another user’s data.
You may permanently delete your VeloCare account from Profile. Account deletion is irreversible, removes the VeloCare account and associated product data from active systems, and does not cancel an Apple subscription. External provider cleanup may take additional time, as described in the Privacy Policy.
07 · Apple distribution
Apple Standard EULA
If you obtained VeloCare through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. Apple is not responsible for maintenance or support of VeloCare, except to the extent required under applicable law.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple is responsible for handling App Store transactions and any applicable refund process under its terms.
08 · Acceptable use
Use VeloCare lawfully
Do not misuse VeloCare, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls or quotas, reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits, upload malicious content, impersonate another person, or use the service to violate another person’s rights or the law.
VeloCare may suspend or limit access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or providers, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms.
09 · Disclaimers
Use your judgment
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeloCare is provided without a promise that every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular bicycle or situation. VeloCare does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of an AI report or maintenance recommendation.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Where the law does not allow a disclaimer or limitation, it applies only to the maximum extent permitted.
10 · Changes
Updates to these terms
The “Last updated” date changes when these terms change. Material changes may be communicated in the app, on the website, or by email where appropriate. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the updated terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
