Good e-bike battery care means using the approved charger, keeping the pack dry and protected from extreme temperatures, and following its storage-charge guidance. Stop using a battery that is swollen, cracked, leaking, unusually hot, hissing, or producing an unusual odor.
Charge safely
Use only the charger and charging method approved by the bicycle or battery manufacturer. Charge in a dry, ventilated area away from exits, flammable clutter, direct sun, and extreme heat or cold. Inspect the cable, plug, case, and charging port before connecting.
Do not cover the charger or battery while charging. Follow the maker’s instructions about supervision and disconnection.
Store correctly
Storage temperature and recommended state of charge vary by system. Use the manual rather than a universal percentage. Prevent the battery from being dropped, crushed, exposed to water, or left in a hot vehicle.
Clean only as instructed
Remove the battery only when the system instructions allow it. Keep contacts dry and never insert metal tools. Do not open the pack; internal cells can retain dangerous energy even when the display appears off.
After an impact, water exposure, charging fault, or physical change, stop using the pack and contact an authorized service provider. Add this to your e-bike maintenance schedule.
